Nyerges & Partners Advises R.Power on Signing its First Power Purchase Agreement in Romania

Nyerges & Partners is pleased to announce that we have successfully advised R.Power Renewables on signing an 11-year physical Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the full output of four solar photovoltaic projects developed in Romania. The agreement, signed with an energy trading company, will deliver an estimated 357 GWh of renewable energy.

Our team provided comprehensive legal support throughout the process, including:

✅Negotiation and drafting of the PPA;

✅Regulatory compliance, including performing mandatory registration and reporting formalities;

✅Strategic advisory on a whole range of regulatory matters related to sale of electricity, balancing obligations, guarantees of origin, administrative requirements for becoming operational, to enable a successful structuring of the PPA.

The project was led by Mihaela Nyerges (Managing Partner), supported by Daniela Drăghici (Counsel) and Radu-Andrei Dăncău (Junior Associate).
