Nyerges & Partners is a Professional Limited Liability Law Firm, having its headquarters in 169A Calea Floreasca, Building A, 2060, 4th floor, Bucharest, Romania, incorporated by Bucharest Bar Decision no xxx dated xy January 2023.

As data controller, Nyerges & Partners hereby assures you that protecting your personal data is of the highest importance and that your personal data is processed safely only in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter GDPR) and with the national legislation on data protection and data security in force.

Personal data” shall comprise information which, directly or indirectly, may refer to you as an individual (e.g. your name, e-mail address, or any other information, including your individual health information).

Purposes for processing

Nyerges & Partners will only process your personal data to the extent that it is necessary for the following purposes:

  • Providing legal services to clients/ potential clients;

  • Concluding of engagement letters and/ or legal services agreements;

  • Communication with the person concerned;

  • Recruitment process;

  • Sending legal newsletters, invitations and participations to events or publications of potential interest to clients/potential clients;

  • Improving the content and the functionality of our website;

  • Fulfilling any legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting purposes;

Legal grounds of the data processing

Nyerges & Partners will only process your personal data in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and to the extent that it is necessary based on the following grounds:

  • Series and number of ID card, personal ID code;

  • Name of employer, position held within your employing company, profession, bank account;

  • Contact details (e.g. home or residence address, email, phone number, fax number);

  • Technical information (e.g. IP address, date and time of your visit, data relating to your operating system and browser type and other information collected by visiting our website);

  • Any other personal information you willingly provide or that is required for the above purposes, strictly in accordance with the legal provisions.

Disclosure of Personal Data

Generally, your personal data is provided strictly for the use of Nyerges & Partners. However, kindly note that we may need to share your personal data with our collaborators/ providers (e.g. couriers, accountants, IT and other service providers).

Having your consent, we may also disclose photos of you taken at events organised by Nyerges & Partners by publishing such images on our site, in magazines or on social platforms (e.g. LinkedIn).

Also, one cannot exclude that there may be limited circumstances in which Nyerges & Partners may share/ transfer the personal data you provided us with to comply with a legal requirement. Nyerges & Partners ensures the protection of your data by using commercially safety methods, including state of the art and offline security methods, even though no method of data transmission is guaranteed against unlawful third-party interception or other misuse.

We will not use your personal data for automated processing or for creating profiles and we will not transfer it to other entities/ individuals (irrespective if such entities/ individuals are in EU or non-EU countries).

Retention of Personal Data

Your personal data is stored for as long as necessary for the purpose for which they were collected and processed, or until the person concerned will express his dissent/deletion right or, as the case will be, will withdraw his consent (in those cases in which the deletion or withdrawal right are applicable based on the type of the personal data and the purpose of their use).

However, such request may affect, totally or partially, the conclusion and/or the execution of the contract concluded between VNP and the person concerned. In this particular case, through his simple request, the person concerned irrevocably accepts that VNP is fully exonerated of any responsibility related to and/or resulting from the execution of the specific contract.

Amendments to the present Policy

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. Any amendments will be posted on our website http://www.nrgpartners.ro/privacy-policy/ in order to notify you of the said changes. All amendments will become applicable after 5 working days as of publication thereof.

Your rights and how to exercise them

According to the applicable legal provisions, you have the right of being informed, the right to access, the right of rectification, the right of deletion, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object and the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing.

Also, you have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority.
