Nyerges & Partners is excited to announce that Horia Ispas has joined the firm as Partner and Irina Moinescu as Counsel, strengthening the firm’s expertise in M&A, Corporate & Commercial, and Energy & Natural Resources practices.
Horia Ispas, a former M&A partner at a leading Romanian law firm, brings over 20 years of experience advising top-tier clients on sophisticated transactions. Throughout his career, Horia has coordinated complex acquisitions and mergers across sectors such as oil and gas, telecom, automotive, FMCG, and retail. His expertise encompasses full-scope M&A legal services, including deal structuring, financing arrangements, due diligence, transaction documentation, and completion processes. Horia has frequently collaborated as local legal counsel with international law firms on regional transactions, further enhancing his in-depth understanding of the Romanian market.
Irina Moinescu joins Nyerges & Partners with 24 years of legal experience, out of which 20 years in the energy sector, previously acting as Partner in the Energy Practice Group of one of Romania’s largest law firms. Irina has extensive experience handling complex projects and M&A transactions, including early privatizations in the electricity and gas sectors, as well as the development of large-scale renewable energy investments. She has advised on regulatory and licensing matters, PPAs, electricity and gas supply agreements, green certificates regulatory aspects, and a wide range of commercial contracts. Additionally, Irina has in-depth knowledge of corporate operations, including complex shareholder agreements, management procedures, and corporate restructuring.
